ETRMServices is a trading technology IT service provider for the global energy industry and other commodities. The firm’s brand was non-existent with no clear message or direction to compete with industry peers and set them apart within the tech sector.
A clear concise brand that embodies energy, cohesiveness, and technology to set ETRM apart in the marketplace and captures each of the brand values that ETRM is seeking to convey.
Defining their differentiated value proposition as taking ownership; happy, expert employees; and a pragmatic and flexible approach—along with arriving at a new organizing sales principle of partnership—helped galvanize the global team around the new brand. ETRM has subsequently successfully broken out of Europe and into the US market.
Our Discovery Workshop with the company’s co-founders yielded strong hypotheses that were then refined through qualitative research. In-depth interviews provided us with a clear competitive advantage and consumer-friendly language to better articulate the value proposition. The Core Values that were devised in the Discovery Workshop were used to inform the brand’s personality, both verbally and visually.
