One Region: Promoting Prosperity Across Race was the first project we did for the Center for Social Inclusion. It was done prior to our having developed their current brand, so the design process was guided by pre-brand principles of decisions made against the benchmark of personal taste and intuition instead of on the basis of adherence to agreed-upon brand principles.
This reality made the project potentially difficult, but the outcome was good, and the cover is still liked by the staff and executives at the Center for Social Inclusion.
In fact, it was reused as the keynote image on the 10th-anniversary awards that were given out in October 2012, nearly 4 years after we originally created the artwork.
